Grabbed a Chicken Over Rice platter from these guys at the NY State Fair yesterday. Bit disappointed based on the reviews. $20 for a normal sized platter that you'd pay $13-$17 max for anywhere else. The chicken was fine, rice was fine, the vegetables were vegetables. Really nothing special in terms of taste, other than it's legit Halal food. They forgot my hot sauce (even though I confirmed twice with them that I wanted it) and I wasn't about to go walk all the way back across half the fair grounds and wait in another long line for it. So I just ate it as is. On top of that, they only had three toppings out of the 10 or so they have online, since it was just the truck there. So you weren't even able to load the platter up like you would at any other place. So again, mix in that $20 price tag, and you can see why I was underwhelmed.

Reminds me of my NYC days. Rice is so full of flavors. Quality Halal. I ordered lamb, falafel, and shrimp. Shrimp was fresh and adorable. Cute bite sized pieces but you get a lot. Excellent! Second time here, will be returning regularly. Thankyou for the great customer service. πŸ™πŸΌπŸ’βœ¨πŸŒŸπŸŒŸπŸŒŸπŸŒŸπŸŒŸ

A friend introduced me to this place, and I’m so glad they did. The food is delicious, the portions are generous, and the service is great. I love the white sauce too!!! I’ve been going back and I’ll definitely be coming backπŸ’―

Excellent food and outstanding service. Probably the best halal chicken over rice platter I’ve had in the surrounding area. The chicken was well-marinated and full of flavor, and the white sauce and hot sauce were absolutely phenomenal compliments to the platter. The pita bread was also amazingβ€”soft, warm and perfectly fluffy, adding an excellent standout element to the meal. What makes it even better is that you get fresh vegetables with it as well, ultimately creating the perfect midnight snack during late night tenures as a student here at Syracuse University.
